The most desirable emerald colors are bluish green to pure green, with vivid color saturation.

Most emeralds naturally have tiny marks or features inside them, which are not cracks but a natural part of the gemstone’s formation.

Emeralds are often cut in rectangular shapes with beveled edges, called the emerald cut, but also come in oval shape.

Zambian emeralds are usually deep green in color and are more affordable. Colombian emeralds have vivid color and expensive.
